Nov 21, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — A well attended Concert, Organized By South Sudan Artists’ Association in Ethiopia yesterday in Addis Ababa comes to an end.

The concert aimed to congratulate the South Sudan’s warring factions for reaching a fragile but most needed peace agreement in August this year.

The Artists call on the leaders to smoothly implement the peace without further hate speeches and white elephant promises.

Speaking on behalf of Khor Deng Jang, who is the chairman of the Association, Angelina Nyanen Isaac, one of the musician who performed, appeals to South Sudanese to support the leaders to rescue the lives of the citizens from crisis affecting the citizens in the new nation.

“We should all do this for the sake of our country. The leaders cannot do this alone. We must all be involves to joins hands in supports for peace. It is time to rescue our nation.” She stressed.

Meanwhile Peace Ambassador, Gatwech Koak Nyuon, who opened the concert as guest of honor, urges the musicians to advocate for peace and start composing new songs that aims to bring people together.

“Release new songs that support peace, songs that encourage peaceful co-existence among the people of south Sudan. We need to sing for peace and let it be a very powerful song of inspiration to bring our people together once again.” Urge the peace Ambassador, Gatwech Koak Nyuon.

The event ran from 6pm till 6am. Pal Tang Yuel, commonly known as Jadda, on stage said that this was the first biggest event of the year since the conflict erupted.

Some professional producers like Mha Chang, also a singer who owns studio (“Goa-ni-mal” – meaning better peace [then wan]) in Gambella disclosed that the musicians welcome the peace and urge others in Juba to start raising awareness.
